The 14th Street NW Streetscape Project team would like to wish you a Happy Holidays!

 

We appreciate your patience extended throughout the project and we hope you are enjoying some of these improvements:

 

• Bus islands

• Benches

• Bike racks

• Landscaping improvements

• Lighting upgrades

• Crosswalk improvements

• New permanent signals (N Street, Rhode Island and S Street; Q Street upcoming)

 

We are working to complete the project as safely and quickly as possible;  however, we have experienced some delays due to utilities and neighboring projects. Although the bulk of the work has been completed, we have three intersections where you will still see construction activity. These intersections are:

 

• 14th and R Street NW – Utility Conflict

• 14th and T Street NW – Utility conflict

• 14th and Florida Avenue NW – Developer Conflict

 

We are continuing our coordination efforts with each of these groups and we look forward to delivering a completed new and improved 14th Street corridor in early Spring 2020.

 

In the meantime, we will be completing the final items on our punch list by mid January, weather permitting.
