  • Installation of 20-ft poles and 100 watt post top and tear drop fixtures on Q Street NW to Florida Avenue NW. This installation will be done in a block by block sequence (east side and west side).

  • Installation of curb and sidewalk at 14th and U Street NW (Monday - Wednesday).

  • Installation of bumpout and sidewalk between T Street and U Street NW (east side; Wednesday to Friday).

  • Installation of bus island at 14th and Rhode Island Avenue NW (Monday 

  • Begin electric line on 14th and R Street NW.

  • Pulling of conductor and push buttons at N Street, P Street, Q Street, V Street and W Street NW.

  • Installation of two 20-ft poles and four 28-ft poles for traffic work.​

  • Installation of curb and sidewalk at U Street NW (Friday and Saturday).

SPECIAL NOTICE: 14th St. NW between R St. and S St. NW
Washington Gas had to close 14th St. NW between R St. and S St. NW on September 17th due to a utility issue. This closure was not a part of the 14th Street NW Streetscape project. All lanes are reopened at this time.

  • Installation of 20-ft poles and 100 watt post top and tear drop fixtures on Q Street NW to Florida Avenue NW. This installation will be done in a block by block sequence (east side and west side).

  • Excavation for bus island at 14th and R Street NW at the curb parking lane/sidewalk.

  • Removal of existing signs and installation of new signs from Q Street to R Street NW.

  • Saw cuting of existing PCC pavement and preparation of PCC placement including placement of granite curb and brick gutter at the northwest corner of 14th and Florida Avenue NW.

  • Pulling of conductor/push buttons at N Street, P Street, Q Street, V Street W Street and Florida Avenue NW.

  • Transfers from R Street to Florida Avenue. This installation will be done in a block by block sequence (east side and west side).

  • Installation of bump out and sidewalk from T Street to U Street NW (east side).

  • Installation of curb and sidewalk at W Street and Florida Avenue NW (this work is scheduled to take place on the west side on Friday).

  • Installation of curb and sidewalk at U Street NW (this work is scheduled to take place on Friday).

  • Watermain work at 14th & R Street NW.

  • Shutdown for watermain between T Street and U Street NW (per DC Water scheduled).

  • Pulling of conductor/push buttons at N Street, P Street, Q Street, V Street W Street and Florida Avenue NW.

  • Splicing of manholes from Thomas Circle to Rhode Island Avenue NW.

  • Pulling cable for traffic poles and video detection cameras.
